  • IEI Consulting Incorporated is a privately held consulting firm, incorporated in the State Of Maryland. The company is owned and operated by electrical engineering consultant Michael Wald, a nationally recognized expert in the analysis of electrical and biomedical equipment failure incidents. Through cooperative arrangements with other forensic engineering specialists, IEI also provides a variety of additional investigative services relating to the investigation of fires, explosions, and personal injury incidents and demonstrative graphics for courtroom presentation.

  • IEI's investigators have performed thousands of investigations throughout the United States and abroad at sites ranging from single family homes to large commercial and industrial facilities. IEI's investigators have testified in the courts of law of at least 12 different states, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Our computer animations and demonstrative graphics have been used in a variety of settings to effectively communicate complex engineering principles in a simple, understandable fashion.

  • IEI maintains an office, evidence storage and examination facility in Annapolis, Maryland. Failure mode testing, destructive examinations, and other operational tests of various electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical devices are performed at this location using specialized testing equipment.
